It was founded by Robert Mcculloch in Wisconsin and was originally called the Mcculloch Motors Corporation. During that time, it specialized in small, two-stroke engines. Then, in 1946, Bob Mcculloch moved the company from Milwaukee to California where he manufactured the first ever Mcculloch chain saw. It was favored by lumber businesses for its light weight and high horsepower. During the next several decades that came, the Mcculloch Motors Corporation continues to grow and expand its horizons into new territories. Then, in 1988, the Mcculloch Company moved from California to Tucson, Arizona where it opened its corporate headquarters and distribution facilities. The opening of such paved way for Rapid Exchange System or REP, the latest product innovation in the fields of power tools manufacturing. Jenn Feng Co., Ltd. now owns the Mcculloch Motors Corporation’s North American operation.
This move opened doors for Mcculloch to again build quality gasoline-powered equipments which have been patronized by loyal consumers. Aside from its renowned chain saws and sturdy string and hedge trimmers, Mcculloch came up with superior and reliable electric power tools and landscape lighting equipment.
